Be A Scientist Zone

Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 June
12.00–18.00
Shape the future of Imperial College London research in our Be a Scientist Zone! From saving seagrass to developing new VR tech, help our scientists and engineers shape the direction of science by taking part in important research happening right now. Have your say on what future research could look like, while having fun!
You can contribute by trying out a prosthetic leg, before creating and sharing your drawings of what future prosthetics could look like; step into virtual reality to help test 360 sound; submerge your hands and feel live seagrass, then making nutrient balls to feed and secure UK’s seagrass meadows.
Adults are also able to experience mixed reality first hand—which merges the real-world environment with a computer-generated one—helping engineers and designers making the immersive environments of tomorrow.
Venue: Flowers Building, Imperial College London

This zone is suited for all ages. You must be 18+ to take part in the mixed reality exhibit.
