Local residents

Thank you to all residents who have supported the Festival in 2024 and in previous years, and to those who
engaged with us during our recent resident consultation about this year’s Great Exhibition Road Festival,
on 7 and 8 June 2025. The experience of our local residents is very important to the festival team and all the
local partners involved. We would like to thank you for your understanding and support and look forward to welcoming you to the 2025 Festival for another weekend exploring the extraordinary!

Residents Letters

A letter with information around the Festival’s operations will be distributed to local residents in April 2025. Further letters are distributed to residents who live south of Prince’s Gardens on Exhibition Road (including Prince’s Gate Mews) in May 2025. If you have not received a copy, please email us at [email protected].

Road Closure

The section of Exhibition Road between Cromwell Road to Prince Consort Road will be closed to traffic during the times listed below, and then re-opened.

Road closure times:

09.00–16.00 Friday 6 June (re-opened from 16.00)

07.00–20.00 Saturday 7 June (re-opened from 20.00)

08.00–22.00 Sunday 8 June (re-opened from 22.00)

Access for all vehicles will be maintained:

From 16.00 Friday 6 June

Overnight on Friday 6 June, Saturday 7 June and Sunday 8 June

Pedestrian access is unaffected and will be maintained throughout.

Resident's vehicle access

Resident vehicle access, for residents who live south of Prince’s Gardens on Exhibition Road (including Princes Gate Mews) will be maintained throughout the road closure. See below for further details on this.
Due to security restrictions and the large number of visitors expected, access for residents will be managed
by security at the entry and exit closure point at the northern end of Exhibition Road/junction with Prince
Consort Road.

A ‘holding area’ for vehicles will be set up at the closure point. Care will be taken to ensure residents are not held in the holding area too long.

Parking bay suspensions

In addition to the road closure, parking bays will be affected. We have developed a plan to manage this with the Councils. The following parking suspensions are in place:

The length of Exhibition Road from Cromwell Road to Prince Consort Road.

Suspensions start at 00:01 on Friday 6 June and end at 18:00 on Monday 9 June.

Parking bays will be relocated in agreement with the RBKC and WCC parking teams.

Bays will be released at 18:00 on Monday 9 June, or as soon as they are clear of Festival infrastructure
and it is safe to do so.
