Rainforest Storytelling: Building Monkey Bridges

 

Hear the story of Costa Rica’s endangered spider monkeys and build model wildlife bridges to keep them safe from predators and human settlements. Together storyteller Helen Tozer and rainforest ecologist Jenna Lawson will discuss the threats posed by deforestation, and our role in combating it, as well as how wildlife corridors can help spider monkeys survive in a precious but endangered ecosystem they contribute so much to.

You will need:  

  • Paper
  • Coloured pencils or felt-tips
  • Something to build with, for example, a construction toy like LEGO® or DUPLO® bricks; or clean packaging from your recycling bin; or a collection of small objects from around your home.
