Step into a space where reality bends, choices split, and uncertainty is the norm. Step Inside Quantum is an immersive installation co-produced by the Young Producers (a team of local young adults), Imperial College London’s quantum researchers and artist Chloé Rochefort.
Existing at the smallest of scales, quantum weaves the fabric of our universe. Its discovery transformed the way we understand reality. How our body functions, how nature behaves, how we invest, how we produce energy, how we travel, how we communicate. Mastering quantum could allow research to go a step further and advance at unimaginable speeds. However, quantum works at such small scales that everything becomes blurry and uncertain. Even for experts, many aspects of quantum remain a mystery. Bringing together diverse scientific and creative perspectives, this project is an interpretation of how quantum manifest itself in our imaginary and in our reality. Our art installation challenges you to cross the quantum’s threshold and discover the mind-bending principles of this world in an interactive way.
You will be able to discover the almost-magical properties of the quantum world by walking through and interacting with a series of textile and sensory gates. Engage in this journey with us for a playful and poetic introduction to quantum!
Don’t let quantum scare you! Step inside!
