Family Fun Zone: Relaxed Session
Event schedule details
Sunday 16 June
11.00-12.00
Event location details
Prince's Gardens
This bookable relaxed session is for families with members who are neurodiverse (for example, people with autism spectrum conditions or sensory processing difficulties) and need a quieter, calmer environment to explore the Family Fun Zone with fewer crowds. Try out some experiments, play, make, meet scientists and engineers and enjoy a story.
Most Family Fun Zone activities will be open, and there will be shows on the Family Stage. You can meet scientists, join in with experiments, play games and do arts and crafts. The Family Fun Zone has trees for shade, grass to play on or spaces to sit and relax.
Visitor information
This session is most suitable for families with children aged 5+. Advance tickets will be released to visitors closer to the Festival weekend. Please book a ticket for each member of your group, adults and children.
This event has step-free access, with paths and grass. A Visual Story is available to help you or anyone in your group prepare for your visit to the festival (pdf). It includes lots of images with text.
To attend the Festival, please make sure to register for free. Registering is the only way to receive the latest Festival updates, a first look at the programme, and opportunities to book free tickets for popular events.
