“Art has the potential to inspire minds and touch emotions in a way that science alone often finds challenging.”

This is why the Grantham Institute runs the Grantham Climate Art Prize to draw attention to the climate crisis through a series of public murals and exhibitions designed by young people.

Young people aged 11–25 are invited to take part in a workshop where they can either design:

  • A poster drawing attention to one of the 9 things you can do about climate change
  • A mural for our White City campus with the theme 'From Grey to Green' showing a vision of a more sustainable urban environment.

Learn how to create bold designs with inspiring calls to action from professional mural artists, while talking to climate scientists about their research and asking questions about how we can reduce the impacts of climate change. This workshop will be drop in and we expect participants to stay for an hour or so.

Participants will be given details of how to enter the Grantham Climate Art Prize and the chance to exhibit their artwork at the Festival in future.
