There is lots for families to enjoy and discover together in the Family Fun Zone.

Try out awesome activities created specially for families with children under 12, while meeting an amazing array of scientists, musicians, engineers, artists, and doctors!

Make music, create artwork, look down a microscope, build models, meet minibeasts or learn a new language through movement and songs. Find out what happens to your brain while you sleep, how surgeons use Virtual Reality, and what the surface of the Sun is really like. Work alongside scientists and engineers, helping them do experiments and explore new ideas. Families with children under five can also drop in for stories, songs and rhymes designed just for little ones.

There will be pop-up fitness, dance and meditation sessions happening throughout the day, as well as fun, family-friendly shows on the Family Stage. With food stalls and green space, the Family Fun Zone is great for a pit stop too!

Families who need a quieter, calmer experience can sign up for our Sunday morning relaxed session.
