World of Cell-Craft

Proteins and cells are the building blocks of life – at the Great Exhibition Road Festival join Imperial’s Institute of Chemical Biology to get creative with the simple structures that make up all living things on Earth, including you!

Get inspired by their shapes, structures and functions while crafting jewellery and keyrings that you can take home. Chat to real-life scientists about the variety of roles proteins play inside our bodies and how creating their own artificial cells using microfluidic devices can uncover new medicines.

This is a drop-in event for visitors of all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
