Heartbeats in Harmony

Craft items including a cardboard heart monitor on red table cloth

Event schedule details

Saturday 15 & Sunday 16 June

12.00-18.00

Event location details

Business School, Imperial College London

Make your own colourful ECG as you learn just what those heart rate monitoring zigzags mean for our health.

After making your own creative heart current you can add it to a giant, continuous heartbeat which will show the enormous amount of work our heart does for us every second of every day.

Craft workshop provider PomegranART will partner with the Cardiac and Lung Institute at Imperial College London to help you create your ECG masterpiece. At the same time, you can chat to our scientists about this vital organ, including how the team have created 3D printed heart scans to understand how it reacts to different medical procedures. You can even choose your own heart to be printed live in 3D form to take home. Keep your finger on the pulse at the Festival and be sure to join us!
